Ring Sizing Tip
The two simplest ways to gauge your ring size are by either circumference or diameter:
The circumference of a ring measures the length around the circle. To measure: wrap a narrow strip of paper comfortably around your finger, mark the end, and measure the distance.
The diameter of a ring measures the distance across the middle inside, which can be used to gauge your ring size from a ring you are already wearing.
She Rich Seashells realized that you should know the correct ring size before placing an order with us. For this reason, we would like to provide you with two printable methods to help you to determine your ring size as below.
Method A: Measure with Current Ring
Select a ring that properly fits the intended finger.
Place the ring over the circles below, matching the inside edge of the ring to the circle nearest in size. This measurement refers to the diameter of the ring.
If the ring falls between two sizes, you should order the larger size.
Method B: Measure Finger with Paper Sizer
Print carefully and cut along the outline of the ring sizer. Cut small slit that is marked with and arrow.
Wrap the sizer by pulling the pointed end snuggly around your finger like a belt, tight but can still move it around. Be sure it’s not too tight or too loose.
Your approximate ring size should be the number (or the alphabetical letter) that lines up at the slit represents the ring size of that finger; where it says “Read your size here”.
Tips for Measuring Your Ring Size
Temperature, humidity, and exercise can also temporarily change finger size. One other thing we should remember when measuring our ring size is that we have to size it up when the day is almost over since this is the time that our fingers are at their largest.
Don’t take measurements after showering, being outdoors in the winter, vigorous exercise, etc. Measuring cold fingers could give you an inaccurate reading since our fingers are at their smallest when they are cold. For the best fit, measure the finger at room temperature toward the end of the day when the finger at its largest.
A woman’s menstrual cycle can also increase the finger size slightly because of water retention. If you don’t want to end up with a loose fitting ring most of the time, try not to make a measurement during your menstrual cycle.
If the finger joints are prominent, measure the widest part of the finger.
The average woman’s ring size is about 6 while the average man’s ring size is about 10.
If you measure your finger and find out that your size is in between two different sizes you should pick the larger size.
